As with many of the bars on Koh Phangan, The Rock Bar really comes to life during a Full Moon Party. It is one of the most established and well known bars on the island and continues to grow and improve every year. It is open all year round offering a chilled out party night every day of the week.

The Rock Bar is located towards the southern end of Haad Rin on a large rock, hence its name, and is extremely popular among backpackers and younger visitors to the island. As it is right on the beach, there is no better way to watch the sunset than with a cocktail and soulful tunes being played by the resident DJ Kim.
The music played is a mix of soul and funk allowing for those who do not enjoy loud pumping dance music to take it easier and chill out in an idyllic and relaxing setting. It is the first stop for many people staying on Haad Rin as it is so well known and is also a favorite with those returning to the island.
The staff are very friendly and always ensure that all visitors enjoy their night and want to return. Drinks are very reasonably priced and the cocktails are among the best on the island. There are promotions every month which always attracts the crowds and during the Full Moon Party, people actually queue to get a table.
While the bar's name alone attracts many tourists, the ambience, staff, DJ and service help to bring people back again and again. It is always either the first or last place to stop when enjoying a bar crawl of Haad Rin and should not be missed out while you are staying on the island.
