| The Full Moon Beach Party is held every month in the Haad Rin area of Koh Phangan during the full moon. While some revelers come by boat to enjoy the party for a few hours, many prefer to find a hotel or bungalow to use as their "home base" for the several days surrounding the Full Moon Beach Party. Most of the bungalows and hotels get in on the action and sponsor their own festivities during the Full Moon Beach Party. Rooms are available in every price range, and lodging ranges from basic to sumptuous. As the Full Moon Beach Party winds down, these places quiet down and offer the perfect cool and quiet place to chill after a night of partying. They come filled with a bottle of alcohol, a can of energy drink, a cola or Sprite mixer, limes, ice, and a few straws for sharing. They are sold in the pubs and on the beach during the Full Moon Koh Phangan festivities. The alcohol can be just about anything including rum, vodka, and even a Thai whiskey that's actually a type of rum.
