 The Sanctuary Resort Spa: Overview
Located right on the beach The Sanctuary was established in 1991 as an alternative healing center. Since that time, our friendly refuge has blossomed into a unique resort offering beautiful houses, comfortable bungalows and budget dorms tucked in harmoniously with the boulders and trees surrounding Hadd Tien Beach. Our incredible kitchen staff have created a special menu with over 300 vegetarian and seafood menu items, including healthy, fresh baked goods. For those of you indulging in one of our detox programs, we provide a separate menu that supports your needs. Our specially trained spa team offer a menu to relax & pamper you and maintain our Cinnamon & Lemongrass steam-room at optimum temperature for detox & relaxation.
We have a full range of detox options, from fruit fasts & gentle cleanses to full detox programs. Our detox center also specializes in realistic, gentle weight-loss and Candida programs. We offer 3 yoga classes per day catering to all levels. Day trips, kayaking, snorkeling and our gym add to the distractions if you need to be encouraged out of your beach front hammock. Add to this the eclectic mix of our guests and you can be sure of a special beach holiday.

This 30 foot circular house is ideal for those wanting privacy yet being less than 5 minutes walk from the restaurant , beach & Spa . Fully equipped with 30 channel Satellite TV, fridge, bar area and including a round bedroom and bathroom with hot watershower and bath tub…Has to be seen!!! This is our ideal Honeymoon house but the recent addition of a stunning balcony with 2 single beds makes it an ideal family house also. . . . . . . . . .. . Master bedroom now has air con .
Sunshine Cottage
This large open planned house with kitchenette and mezzanine bed deck is one of the newest additions to our house range. Gaze out through French doors and private sun deck to spectacular views of the surrounding valley and ocean. The beautiful rock bathroom with hot water shower has to be seen to be believed. . Early bookings recommended.
Yogini Baan
A short 5 minutes walk from the ocean you will find this beautiful 3 story traditional Thai style house. Able to accommodate up to 4 people, with attic TV & Reading room (your second bedroom ). On the 1st floor is the master bedroom with a king size bed. French doors give an all round ocean view.With a ground floor kitchen and eating area ! The bathroom is beautiful with mother of pearl inlaid coral hot water bath (big enough for 2!) . This house is not situated in the Sanctuary gardens proper but is located on the hillside at the back of the bay, a short 5 mins walk from all amenities
Elfin Baan
A neighbouring house to YOGINI Baan and recently renovated. This Thai style house has a delightful balcony, cosy TV room ( doubles as single bed) and double bed room. It aslo boasts a stunning bathroom with hot bath under the stars.
Rainbow House
This house has the added advantage of two double bedrooms & a single bed room, huge open-plan living, with the main section being built between two rocks, allowing a cool, spacious feel. Situated near the restaurant. Has a beautiful private sunbathing deck. Includes cooking facilities and hot water shower. 30 channel satellite TV & DVD
Leela House
Set high in the trees with sweeping views of the jungle and the sea lies Leela- house of Play. This very large 'L' shaped house has 90 degree views, open plan design with kitchen, bedroom and large living space. Five minutes from the restaurant and beach and yet still very private to be quiet or play! A large round bathroom with hot water shower is attached to this most beautiful house. Early reservations recommended.
Star House
Perched high on the rocks with fantastic view of the sea, beach, jungle and stars lays the star house.Less then five minutes walk from the beach, yet totally private the perfect house for couple Star house has a large open planned kitchenette/living area, & a huge bedroom with large glass windows where you can watch the sunrise from bed without getting up.
It has a Western type round attached bathroom with hot water shower, built into the rocks.
Lastly perhaps its biggest attraction is the private sun deck for lounging with the new addition of a spacious bath tub to relax in, cold water in the day, hot at night under the stars.Total pampering Other amenities include 54 channel satellite TV /DVD/CD player etc…….. Tamarine House
Our latest addition, not in the Sanctuary gardens but situated a short 5 walk from the sanctuary restaurant this lovely new house has beautiful jungle and mountain views. It is a stunning 2 floored house with wrap around balcony, lounge room with DVD & bathroom with hot shower/ bath. Tea/coffee making facilities.
Garden House
Tucked away in a private garden. This house offers a unique space for those wanting seclusion. Watch the sunrise from your bed; an uninterrupted view of the bay in the daytime; and the stars at night from your balcony. The Garden House has a king size bed and large single bed. Ample size bathroom with hot water shower. Now with 30 channel Satellite TV
Padma The Lotus House
Nestled in the jungle on Sanctuary Heights only five minutes walk up from our ocean front restaurant one finds the Lotus House. This self contained house with small kitchenette is perfect for those wanting complete privacy whilst retaining sweeping sea and jungle views. Spacious bedroom overlooking the coconut palms; large covered balcony and a beautiful bathroom ( now with hot water shower) built into the surrounding rocks.
Weemarn Baan
Situated a short walk from our restaurant and the beach, our Weemarn range of bungalows offer you more than just a bungalow. Its spacious interior and French doors offer cooling breezes as you slumber on the deluxe King sized bed. The Balcony is huge and tastefully furnished with a rattan lounge and hammock to offer you elegance and comfort . The bathroom with its rock features has a hot shower. A well stocked bar fridge ensures that you wont have to move too much to get refreshments as you relax in your hammock.
